AutoCAD Seminar for Students

This is a free seminar limited to the first 5 students that apply. Students will be introduced to the AutoCAD design tool. They will learn the basic operation of AutoCAD, use of the most common tools including lines, arcs, circles, dimensions, alignment, hatching, layers, colors, scaling, rotating, mirroring, creating templates, file conventions, and more.

The seminars will be held one-on-one with the student practicing on a furnished desktop computer. The student must supply their own 16GB flash memory stick for their own files. They will NOT receive their own copy of AutoCAD. A free AutoCAD viewer can be downloaded if they desire.

Seminars will start on June 17, 2019. Each student will get 2 hours, once/week, for 6 weeks for a total of 12 hours. Each student seminar will be scheduled individually. A student missing a scheduled seminar will be subject to cancellation of future seminars.

Students should have a relatively good understanding of Win 10 and computers in general, a good attitude, and a willingness to work.

Again, these seminars are FREE and designed to give the interested student a head start on classroom assignments. Just because it is free, does not mean that it is easy.

At the conclusion of the seminar, students completing all sections will receive a nice handwritten note of thanks and wishes of good luck.
